Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union Appoints New Director of Member Experience and AVP/Regional Manager
Audrey Turner has recently accepted the newly created position as Director of Member Experience and will be succeeded in her current position as AVP/Regional Manager at the 21st Avenue branch and Region 1, by Andy Gable.
Audrey has been with Carolina Trust since 2016. She has held several positions at the Credit Union, most recently AVP/Regional Manager at the 21st Avenue branch and Region 1, which includes the 21st Avenue, Surfside and Holmestown Road branches. In her newly created role as Director of Member Experience, her focus will be ensuring that each branch is providing outstanding service while maximizing relationships with each member. Among her other responsibilities, she will also be responsible for all branch locations, as well as, the Member Service Center.
Andy will succeed Audrey in her role as AVP/Regional Manager of Region 1. Gable was hired in 2009 as the Branch Manager of the Holmestown Road branch and later relocated to the Conway branch. In 2017, he was promoted to his most recent position as AVP/Regional Manager of Region 2, which included the Conway, Little River, Johnsonville and Lake City Branches. Andy is excited to relocate to the 21st Avenue branch and serve the members of Region 1 with passion and enthusiasm.
Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union Announces Employee Promotions
Robin Mack and Brunson Loadholt have recently been promoted to the positions of AVP/Regional Manager, and Jasmine Book has recently been promoted to the position of Johnsonville Branch Manager.
Robin has been with Carolina Trust since 2009. She has worked in many positions at the Credit Union, most recently as the Johnsonville Branch Manager. In her new role as AVP/Regional Manager, she will relocate to the Conway branch and will manage Region 2, which includes the Conway and Little River branches.
Jasmine will succeed Robin as the Branch Manager of the Johnsonville Branch. Jasmine was hired as a Loan Officer in 2017, and most recently held the position of Financial Services Officer. She has fully accepted the Credit Union movement as a Better Way of Banking and is excited for her new role.
Brunson has held the role of Lake City Branch Manager since he joined the Credit Union in 2003. In his newly accepted role as AVP/Regional Manager, he will continue managing the Lake City branch, as well as Region 3, which includes the Lake City and Johnsonville branches.
Annual Meeting on Thursday, April 23rd 2020
The 2020 Annual Meeting for Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union members will be held Thursday, April 23, 2020 at 3:00pm in our Myrtle Beach branch located at 1010 21st Avenue North.
The Nominating Committee has selected individuals from the Carolina Trust membership as nominees for Board of Director vacancies based on their qualifications and willingness to serve. Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union and HTC, Inc. have partnered to offer scholarship awards to two graduating high school seniors within Horry, Georgetown, Marion, Williamsburg, or the southern part of Florence County. Two
$1,000 scholarships will be awarded to two rising college freshmen attending either Coastal Carolina University or Francis Marion University for their four-year degree. The scholarships may be renewed for three consecutive years in the amount of $500 per year should the award recipients continue to meet qualifying criteria. The total scholarship amount each student may receive over a four-year period is $2,500. All materials must be postmarked by February 28, 2020.
The two scholarship recipients for the 2020-2021 academic year will be announced in May 2020.
Holiday Charity: Meals on Wheels
This past holiday season, Carolina Trust selected Meals on Wheels as our Holiday Charity. The Credit Union, employees, and members all donated to our charity fund. We split the fund between four different organizations who offer Meals on Wheels programs within our field of membership: Meals on Wheels of Horry County Inc., Vital Aging of Williamsburg County, Brunswick Senior Resources, and Horry County Council of Aging. Thanks to all of those who donated and helped us bring nutritious meals to the senior citizens in our community.
Buddy Project: South Conway Elementary School
Carolina Trust employees had the opportunity to attend South Conway Elementary School for a Buddy Project Visit, where fifth grade students made the pledge to be kind, treat others with respects, and take action to prevent or report bullying.
Avoid Scams This Tax Season
Crooks impersonating the IRS either by phone, email or in person cost people their time and money during tax season. The IRS urges people to stay vigilant against schemes and scams and avoid becoming a victim.

Carolina Trust representatives will be at River Oaks Elementary School on Wednesday, February 5th from 7:00am-7:30am to collect in-school banking deposits from Carolina Trust Goal Club Account Holders.
