Free Checking
No monthly service charge or minimum balance required. This is a non-dividend bearing checking account.
Direct Checking
If you have your payroll or other check directly deposited to your account, then Direct Checking is the best option for you. There is no monthly service charge or minimum balance required, but dividends are paid on a minimum monthly balance of $250.
50 Plus Checking
The golden years do have their perks. For members age 50 and older, there is no monthly service charge or minimum balance required. 50 Plus accountholders receive one free box of Carolina Trust checks each year upon request. An increased dividend rate is earned on the monthly checking balance if the combined monthly savings and checking balance does not fall below $2,500. If the combined monthly savings and checking balance falls below $2,500, then the standard checking dividend rate will be applied. If the monthly checking balance falls below $250, then no dividends are awarded that month.
Student Checking
This free checking account is for full-time enrolled college students ages 18-24. There is no monthly charge or minimum balance required. Students may receive one free box of Carolina Trust checks per year and free incoming wire transfers. This is a non-dividend bearing account.
Goal Club Checking
Goal Club checking is available for teens ages 14-17 who have a Goal Club savings account. Goal Club members ages 14-17 may receive an ATM or VISA
®
debit card with parent co-signing. Additionally, a VISA
®
credit card with a $300 credit limit is available for members ages 16-17 with parent co-signing. Find out more about this exciting youth club!
Encore Checking
If you've experienced previous checking mishaps and are looking to re-establish a checking relationship, we hope to give you a second chance to make a good impression. Talk with us. Your less-than-perfect checking record will be reviewed to see if you qualify for this account and agree to the account restrictions. After six months of healthy account management, you may request to trade your ATM for a VISA
®
debit card. After twelve months, you may apply for another checking account. Encore Checking applicants are required to meet with a Member Service Representative to discuss account restrictions. Encore accountholders are required to pay a $10 monthly service fee regardless of account balance.
